Standard Specification For Our 3.5 ton Van Conversions
Listed below is our standard specification this is your starting point. from here you can choose not only the final colour but also play around with the internal specification to suit your needs, Add safety gates, cupboards, barn doors etc. We have many years of experience building these and have more than likely produced very similar before and can provide a photo to show the finished item. The mileage will have been checked as correct as far as possible via previous MOT history, but we always invite you to satisfy yourself via an HPI check or similar. We always recommend a vehicle check/inspection be carried out for your total peace of mind. In the unlikely event a fault is found making the vehicle unroadworthy we correct this prior to collection/delivery.
THE VANS WE PROVIDE
The starting point for all our conversions is the very well known used and respected Renault Master Ultra High Roof model. Usually, the MK2 version ranging from 2004 to 2010. We use both the LWB and MWB version. This van may also be badged up Vauxhall Movano or Nissan Interstar, it's the more or less the same van just badged differently.
All vehicles will have a full MOT and be fully serviced. We change the cambelt and Aux belt as standard.
Although these vans are not new and a certain amount of wear & tear must be expected, we try to keep this to an absolute minimum and if realistic replace with new serviceable parts. However, you should expect a fully working roadworthy vehicle and in the unlikely event a fault does occur within 3 months of purchase making the vehicle unroadworthy we will repair at our cost all parts required free of any labour charge. The vehicle does have to be returned to our Doncaster workshops at your expense so we strongly recommend taking out breakdown cover which does allow for this.
The main Bulkhead is fully reinforced with welded box section steel for optimum safety. Then 18mm Buffalo Board is added for further strength and comfort. EVA Rubber can be installed if required for a small additional cost. We do NOT rely on the standard bulkhead fitted by the manufacturer.
CENTRAL BULKHEAD AND PARTITION
The center bulkhead is again fully welded/bolted box section finished in 18mm buffalo board. We also install a shelf to minimize hay falling into the groom's area. The closing partition is fully removable with an additional bar fitted to retain the second horse.
The ramp frame is fabricated from 100x50x4mm fully welded & bolted box section steel for maximum rigidity & safety providing a super solid platform to attach both ramps. Both are fabricated from Aluminium framed buffalo board to a 30mm thickness bottom and 18mm top. Anything less than this compromises strength & horse safety. Both our gas ram assisted for ease of operation by the smallest lady owner. The top ramp can be changed to a barn door style for an additional cost of £250.
Height 7ft, Length 7ft.2, Width 6ft.2 The floor has been strengthened by the addition of 18mm Buffalo Board (add an Aluminium floor for £300) and then covered in 10mm heavy duty rubber matting. All fully sealed with polyurethane for a watertight/jet wash proof area. The walls and opening partition are covered in 10mm EVA matting to 4ft for maximum horse comfort and safety.
The floor is wood-paneled, sides are finished with white Polystar board giving an attractive hard-wearing finish. As standard wheel arches are converted to seats but cupboards can be installed to your specification.
We aim to achieve a 1200kg payload without compromising on safety or strength. The maximum height of the horse is 16.2hh. Please remember payload must include driver/passengers/fuel and any other item carried. We do provide a weight certificate showing the exact payload.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY FEATURES FITTED AS STANDARD
The safety of you and your horse is paramount and for this reason, all safety features are fitted as standard, not an optional upgrade. All conversions have Emergency Exits so the horses can be removed in case of a serious accident stopping the side ramps from being opened.

PRICES & Delivery/Collection Times
Prices start at £9500 and this more or less covers everything and allows you to have the exact specification you require. We don't start adding hidden extras or costs. We agree on a price and stick to it. The buying process is very simple we agree what vans we have available, what year/mileage etc, and go from there. We ask for a 25% deposit paid by bank transfer to proceed and the usual build time is around 4 weeks. We can deliver and a quote can be provided upon request.
